In a year of terrifying uncertainty, we can always rely on one thing: Dogs. With the influx of new furry family members during lockdown,
we wanted to take some time in to celebrate dogs in a delicious way they can actually enjoy.
From family photo shoots they can’t escape, to festive goodies they can’t eat, dogs can have it pretty ruff over the holiday season.

Introducing, National Dog Month

Yup, it really happened. With help from over 10,000 of the world’s most dog-loving dog people,
we were able to successfully make the case for a month that celebrates the best darn pet on the planet.
National Dog Month will now be held every August, every year,from now until the end of dog time.
This annual celebration of a pet that unquestionably deserves an annual celebration. We petitioned and successfully got recognition
for all the things dogs do to make our lives more fun––from the silly things like challenging us to games of tube-sock tug-of-war,
to the more important things like always being there whenever we need very unconditional, very cuddly love. National Dog Month
works to help us appreciate the bonds between dogs and people––the #1 human-animal bond in the world.
And above all, it makes August the best time of the year for our very best friends.
Through the National Dog Month initiative in 2020, we were also able to reach our goal of donating $10,000 to our nonprofit partner
Canine Assistants. Thank you to all the dog people who participated in our poll, and the doggos you participated for.
